Staying in Love ~ Part 2

For Part 1, click here.

We've already discussed just Whom we're to be falling in love with.
And as everyone knows, the "honeymoon" phase is wonderful.
But it doesn't last forever.
That's because the "honeymoon" phase is fueled primarily by feelings.
But love isn't just a feeling.
(I'm not going to tell you love isn't a feeling, because I'm 99% sure there are chemical reactions for 'love', making it basically a feeling. I'm fairly certain hormones play a pretty big part, too.)
True love is a commitment.
God's committed to us.
How committed to Him are we?
Would you go a day without talking to someone you love? Or even someone you like, for that matter?
If they wrote you letters, wouldn't you read them? Several times? Become so familiar with them that you knew the words by heart?
Well . . . we have that.
It's hard for us - being humans - to grasp having a relationship with someone we can't physically see or hear.
I'll admit that wholeheartedly.
But it can be done.
I'm sure you know people who have a great relationship with God and, like me, you're kinda jealous of them.
We can have that, too.
We just need to talk to Him.
We just need to read His love letters, as well as His letters of instruction.
We need to realize that a relationship takes two.
God's ready and willing.
How willing are you to stay in love?

Spring Break

So Spring Break is next week.
I don't know why they call it that.
It's not much of a break for a lot of us.
It's more like designated time to get your work done at home, sleeping in.
And people go places for Spring Break?
. . . Like, how?
I couldn't do that. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I did that.
And I can tell the break's already starting to catch up with me because I woke up thinking "I need to do ___ today"
. . . And I can't remember for the LIFE OF ME what it is!!!
On the flipside of things, BBC's Sherlock Series 3 starts filming on the 18th.

Bipolar Beaufort Weather

I don't know about the rest of the country, but isn't it a pretty good rule of thumb that when it's cold in the morning, it'll still be cold in the afternoon?
Doesn't that help you dress appropriately for the day?
Beaufort isn't like that.
I think Beaufort's a woman, and she's bipolar.
It was like, 60 degrees this morning, so I wore a knitted wool top, a scarf (more for the astetics than weather), and sneakers.
Um . . .
Lo and behold, at noon, it's about 85 degrees.
. . . What?!

On Being Home Alone

After a decade of being left at home for several hours at a time with no supervision save my own, I have discovered that the imagination begins to populate said enclosure of living with monsters, murderers, and other unpleasantries. This increases exponentially after the sun has set.
Here, I give some illustrations of the average human's ability to cope with / exist in denial of said horrors.

Seven Overdue Random Thoughts

(I've already said it was "overdue"; you're not getting any more than that.)

1: Whilst learning about the history of the English language - which is far more convoluted than it ought to be, by the way - we talked about the Norman Conquest in 1066. It's the reason for a lot of things, but what really jumped out at me was this: I think it's the most cheeky, audacious, and boldest things the French have done to date. (No offense.)

2: It's quite warm today. About 80F. In February. That is messed up. Summer's gonna be killer.

3: I really want to make a wax-seal-stamper thing-y. Saw how to do it on Pinterest.

4: I can't wait for Series 3 of BBC's Sherlock. Best. Show. Ever.

5: I want to be teleported to Friday. Mostly because I don't want to give a presentation and take two midterms. Yeah.

6: I should probably get back to studying . . . oh, look, a birdy! Nevermind . . .

7: Follow me on Tumblr. Because I tumble a lot.
