Zombies. 
I usually don't go for the whole "zombie-apocalypse-caused-by-expired-milk" thing, but I started a story about a zombie in Fiction a few days ago.
Three different people told me - no, commanded me to finish it, so I will.
I'm also writing a short scene about a "freaky cat lady", but whether that will develop into something more, I don't know.
She is pretty funny though . . .
So, yes, I am perfectly aware this post is short, but to lengthen it, I'm going to tell you to do the following:

READ "THE BIRDS" BY DAPHNE DU MAURIER.
IT IS SO AWESOME.
