You know those days when you feel like all you have to offer someone is a smile?
Or when someone's given you a smile and it really does just make your day so much better?
What if you didn't even have that to offer?
There are some kids who don't.
And more than that, for some, it's life-threatening -- babies who are born with cleft palates and cleft lips have difficulty eating, which can lead to starvation. They also have frequent ear infections and dental problems.
In some cases, children given up for adoption with cleft palates or cleft lips have a lesser chance of being adopted.
Operation Smile is an organization that performs life-changing surgeries on kids born with cleft palates and cleft lips. The surgeries are free of charge to the families, who often can't begin to afford the procedure on their own.
If this is a cause you'd like to support, please donate here.
Remember, even when you've got nothing to give, you have a smile.
Be thankful for that.
